West to East

Do you see those clouds? How about the lush, green, rolling hills? Can you feel the humidity?

Oh we are not in California anymore!

Welcome to the third installment of the craziness that has been our life for the past year. I mean, as if moving to Italy wasn’t enough, we moved back to California just in time to welcome our sweet daughter into the world, spent a glorious summer in the Napa Valley and now just completed our trek across the USA into unchartered territory (for us). Here in New Hampshire the Hubster will finish up his MBA, then we will make one more move– to the job and town that God has been leading us to all along.

Only wish I knew where that might be…

But back to NH.

When moving to a new area, there are many things one must do and figure out. Like perhaps finding a good pediatrician. Or the cheapest gas in town. Maybe signing up for renters insurance would be a good idea. I’m sure I’ll get to these, but not this weekend. Top of my list?

Finding a good Farmer’s Market.

Priorities, right?!

Just across the Connecticut river and into Vermont is the Norwich Farmer’s Market. It is a rustic, out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere Farmer’s Market, but the people are friendly, the produce is beautiful, and the prices make sense. I was excited to find it so close and bought up quite a load of goodies to bring home.

Even the Little Man was happy as a clam (though I guess you wouldn’t know it from this picture), and got away with a lovely little jar of local honey.

If anyone knows or has been to the Upper Connecticut River Valley (Hanover/Lebanon/Norwich area), I’d love some more suggestions of things to do and places to see!

Now that it’s Monday morning though, I suppose I should probably commence my search for a pediatrician…

  1. Beautiful pictures, Jenn! Glad you guys made it safe and sound. I know God has great plans for you and your family! :)

Jenn, I’m so glad to see you are there and enjoying the produce of the area! You’re right about “priorities!” Loved hearing about it!

My boyfriend spent most of his childhood summers in Enfield and it’s a gorgeous area. He says Shaker Village is interesting and Hanover is always fun, if you’re looking for things to do.

Glad you found a good farmer’s market in the meantime!

  4. Deborah J Aguilar says:

That farmer’s market looks amazing, Jenn! You picked a good one :) Are the veggies there as yummy as they look? It’s hard to beat the fresh produce of California, but looks like you found a jewel… Glad to hear you all are enjoying the East Coast, and the humidity! ;) Debbie A. <3
